The Geography of Solitude

Almost from everywhere. Completely from nowhere.

ABOUT THIS ARTWORK (ARTIST’S NOTE)

Have you ever felt like everyone else has a clear place on the map — except you?
You speak in more than one language, you move between cities and countries, and yet nowhere fully answers the word “home.”

In this piece, the half-globe is where people seem to belong:
families, hometowns, flags, roots.
It is the world that gives others a clear shape.

And beneath it, a small dot.
The one who doesn’t fit into any of those boxes — not broken, not lost, not missing…
just standing a few steps aside.

The Geography of Solitude is for people who feel “almost from everywhere and completely from nowhere” —
the quiet, strong kind of lonely that nobody sees from the outside.
Not a collapse.
A position.
A place you learn to carry.
