ABOUT THIS ARTWORK  
This piece was created during a time of deep exhaustion.

There were too many roles to hold at once — student, child, partner, friend, worker.  
Every day required showing up as someone, fulfilling something, being enough for everyone else.

But when asking, “Who am I, for myself?”  
there was only tiredness.

It felt like the self was slowly fading, erased not by choice,  
but by constant responsibility.

The image was stripped back from the edges, layer by layer,  
the same way energy disappears when rest is postponed for too long.

Fading Self is not about transformation or rebirth.  
It is about the quiet moment when you realise you are exhausted —  
and cannot keep carrying everything anymore.
